Welcome to Mr. Finn's!

Welcome to the blog for Mr. Finn’s Ice Cream Shoppe, my semester-long project for COMSTRAT 563 at Washington State University. Mr. Finn’s is an old-fashioned ice cream and soda shop located in Kinderhook, New York. We serve high quality ice cream, made right in our store with only the freshest ingredients!

Mr. Finn’s Ice Cream Shoppe is a dream years in the making. My mom and I enjoy making ice cream and we always thought it would be fun to own an ice cream parlor. We decided that if we ever did, we would name it after the family cat, Mr. Finn. Over the years, we perfected our family recipes and in June 2013, the doors to Mr. Finn’s opened to the public.

My family and I pride ourselves on the quality and taste of our ice cream. We have fun developing new flavors and love hearing customer opinions! We also serve soda fountain favorites like milkshakes, ice cream sodas and egg creams, a New York City staple.

In addition to serving amazing ice cream to residents of Kinderhook and beyond, we are committed to giving back to the community. The “Farm-to-Scoop” pledge promises that we will source at least 75 percent of our ingredients from local farms. We have also pledged to donate 20 percent of the proceeds from our signature “Mr. Finn Sundae” to local animal shelters. We give to a different shelter each month so please submit your suggestions!

At Mr. Finn’s, we turn the everyday into a special occasion and we look forward to serving you soon. Until then, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
